S60 licensees

Nokia began licensing S60 software to handset vendors in 2001. Current S60 licensees include LG Electronics, Lenovo, Nokia, and Samsung.

As of February 2007, over 80 smartphones based on S60 have been launched.

S60 is feature-rich software for smartphones with advanced data capabilities. Based on the Symbian OS, it includes an application suite, user interface framework, and middleware components. The flexibility of S60 allows for a variety of hardware designs and software configurations.

S60 licensees can integrate the software into their own phone designs, accelerating the rollout of new phone models at a lower cost.
